An interesting teak candle holder that was hand carved from teak wood.

There is a paper label on the bottom that reads: C1000, Chinese Craftsmen, Made in Taiwan R.O.C.

The base of the teak candle holder is approximately 3 1/4" wide. The top is also 3 1/4" wide. The column that rises from the base and supports the top is approximately 1 1/4" wide. The whole teak candle holder is 6" high. The center indentation is 1 3/4" wide and there is a 5/16" high lip that would hold the candle in place. The maximum width candle it could hold would be 2 1/2" wide.

There is a few little spots in the indentation in the top that look like wax, so this probably has held a candle at one time. However, there is no wax anywhere else, so either the previous owner was really careful or they only burned tea light candles on it. It is also possible they only used this teak candle holder to display votive or small pillar candles and never actually burned the candles.

There are several lighter colored spots on this candle holder, visible in some of the pictures. These spots are tiny chips in the wood, however most of them are not noticeable unless you are closely examining the candle holder.

This teak candle holder has a lot of character and would look really good on a bookcase or shelf.
